The Cotter School Board has accepted the resignations of High School Principal Dan Beckwith and elementary teacher Sue Adkins. The action came during the board’s April session earlier this month.
In addition, Nicole Thornton was hired as an elementary teacher, and 504 coordinator responsibilities will be added to elementary counselor Beth Fosters contract for 2018-19.
In other board action, approval was given for the licensed and classified salary schedules and the district calendar for the 2018-19 school year.
The board heard from FBLA advisor Andrea Kray and club members about recent successes at the state leadership conference. Approval was given for the district to pay $1,725 for registration fees for 15 students who qualified and will compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference.
One petition was approved for the transfer of a student from the Flippin School District to the Cotter School District.
