John ShearerBob Dylan is launching a whiskey brand. The singer will join the celebrity spirits market with Heaven’s Door, a trio of American whiskeys set to include a Tennessee bourbon, a straight rye and a double-barrel whiskey.

Heaven’s Door is a joint venture between Dylan and Marc Bushala, co-founder of Angel’s Envy bourbon. Bob Dylan told the New York Times, “We both wanted to create a collection of American whiskeys that, in their own way, tell a story. I’ve been traveling for decades, and I’ve been able to try some of the best spirits that the world of whiskey has to offer. This is great whiskey.”

Heaven’s Door whiskey, rye, and bourbon will sell for between $50-80 per bottle. Next year, the company will begin an annual limited-edition “Bootleg” series featuring special, aged varieties, with Dylan’s artwork on the bottle. The Bootleg series will retail for $300.
