Stephen Stills and Judy Collins kick off 2018 duo tour tonight in Oregon

Credit: Anna WebberStephen Stills and Judy Collins launch their 2018 North American tour in support of their 2017 duets album, Everybody Knows, tonight in Eugene, Oregon. The trek first leg is plotted out through a June 30 performance in Washington, D.C., while an as-yet-unannounced second leg will see the duo playing shows all the way onto November.

Stills and Collins who were romantically involved during the ’60s and Collins famous inspired the classic Crosby, Stills & Nash song “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.”  They also toured extensively together in 2017 to promote Everybody Knows.

The album, which was released last September, features new versions of songs connected to the longtime friends’ shared musical history, as well as a number of select covers and one brand-new tune penned by Judy, “River of Gold.”

Most recently, Stills and Collins performed together at Stephen’s fifth annual Light Up the Blues benefit concert, held on April 21 in Los Angeles. The show, which raised money for the Autism Speaks charity, also featured Neil Young, Patti Smith, Burt Bacharach, Sheryl Crow, Beck and members of the late Tom Petty‘s band, The Heartbreakers.
