
Saturday was the last day for high school baseball and softball in Mountain Home as the semifinals of the Class 1A State Tournaments were held at McClain Park.
Concord’s softball team punched its ticket to Fayetteville after shutting out Woodlawn 6-0 on Freedom Field. The Lady Pirates will meet Taylor who blanked Mount Vernon-Enola 7-0 in the other semifinal.
The first semifinal on Pitts Field ended with Woodlawn beating up on Hillcrest 9-1. The Bears’ opponent in the state championship game will be South Side-Bee Branch after they edged out Taylor 2-1.
