“The Summer Looks Good on You” is a big-sounding mid-tempo pop-rock tune that, as the title suggests, celebrates the beginning of the season. The track includes a soaring instrumental break that blends a wailing guitar solo with what sounds like a full orchestra. The song was co-written by Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Robin Zander and Tom Petersson, along with frequent collaborator Julian Raymond, who co-produced the track with the band.
Cheap Trick’s Nothin’ but a Good Time Tour with Poison and opening act Pop Evil is plotted out through a July 1 concert in Hollywood, Florida. The band also has a variety of other shows on their 2018 schedule. Check out their full itinerary at CheapTrick.com.
