The outing kicks off September 24 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and will wind down with a November 11 concert in Orlando, Florida. Fans can expect to hear a career-spanning selection of tunes at the Simple Minds shows, including tunes from the new record and such classic ’80s hits as “Alive and Kicking,” “Sanctify Yourself” and, of course, the chart-topping smash from The Breakfast Club‘s soundtrack, “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”

Simple Minds are in the middle of a summer European tour leg will end with a series of dates in the band’s U.K. homeland running from early August to early September.

In a recent interview with Pollstar, frontman Jim Kerr discussed his excitement about touring North America again, and chatted about the difference between performing in Europe and the U.S.

“We’ve always had it in our head that the Americans invented rock ‘n’ roll,” he explained. “In England you can get away with being no good live, because its more about the vibe or the fashion, so you can kind of get away with it. But in the States people smell it a mile away. You’ve got to deliver. I’m aware of these [U.S.] towns and cities and I’m aware of their musical heritage. You must have your chops together and better be good, or else how dare you play there.”
