LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – A Tennessee rapper will stand trial March 11th on
charges he illegally carried a gun at a 2017 concert in Little Rock that ended
in a gang shootout.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports the trial date for Ricky Hampton of
Memphis, who performs under the name Finese2Tymes, was set Thursday after he
pleaded not guilty to the state charge.

Authorities say Hampton was seen on stage at Power Ultra Lounge holding a gun
after the shooting started in July 2017. More than two dozen people were
injured, but no one died.

Hampton is not charged with firing the gun, but is prohibited from owning a gun
because of a 2010 armed robbery conviction in Tennessee.

Hampton was sentenced last month to five years in prison on a federal charge of
carrying a gun at another nightclub in Arkansas.
