
In area basketball results from Tuesday night, the Cotter High School girls picked up a 65-30 win over Haas Hall Fayetteville. Samantha Sanchez erupted for 36 points for the Lady Warriors.
Izard County split their senior high games at Viola. The Cougars clinched at least a share of the 1A-2 Conference title with an 81-52 win. Coby Everett led a balanced attack with 14 points, Justus Cooper scored 13, Dylan Tharp had 12 and Caleb Faulker finished with 11. The Cougars improve to 27-4 overall and 14-0 in league play. The Longhorns fall to 14-12 and 7-5.
Viola won the senior girl’s contest 50-35. The Lady Cougars got 12 points from Maura Thomason and 10 from Ashlynn Bratcher. Izard County falls to 17-12 overall and 4-6 in the 1A-2. Viola improves to 24-5 and 8-2.
Viola also won the junior girl’s game 36-16.
The Izard County junior boys defeated Mammoth Spring 37-29 in the Izard County Invitational Tournament to improve to 9-6. Gunner Gleghorn scored 12 points and Denton Reilley added 10.
The Mammoth Spring boys defeated KIPP Blytheville 83-48. Cole Young led the attack with 27 points, Daniel Mayfield scored 16, Jacob Golden had 11 and Zack Flynn scored 10. The Bears improve to 16-11 on the season.

-Calico Rock topped Norfork 57-48. The Pirates are now 22-5 overall and 12-2 in league play. The Panthers fall to 11-17 and 5-11.
-Yellville-Summit defeated Decatur 57-24 to improve to 12-5 overall and 5-2 in the 2A-1.
-Gainesville lost 74-29 to Fair Grove at the Sparta Tournament.
-Valley Springs ripped Green Forest 77-34 to improve to 27-2.
-Marshall was a 57-46 winner over Mountain View
-Melbourne downed Riverside 49-43
-Bergman out scored Guy-Perkins 99-80
-Omaha was an 84-31 winner over Lead Hill
-Western Grove downed St. Joe 87-42
In other girl’s games:
-Norfork ran their record to 24-4 and 11-0 with a 71-25 win over Calico Rock. The Lady Pirates fall to 7-17 and 2-9.
-Yellville-Summit lost to Decatur 39-36. The Lady Panthers fall to 4-15 overall and 2-5 in league play.
-Salem lost to Rector 48-47
-Valley Springs was a 62-51 winner over Green Forest
-Bergman defeated Guy-Perkins 73-43
-The Dora girls lost to Hartville 71-33 at the Mountain View-Liberty Tournament
