Gassville woman who took money from employer sentenced


A Gassville woman entered a guilty plea to stealing from her employer during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Twenty-year-old Amanda Hope Cobler was charged with taking almost $2,000 from the business where she worked as a cashier by way of a series of phony transactions. She had been employed by the business since 2017.

Cobler was put on misdemeanor probation for 12 months. It was announced in court she had repaid the company for its loss.
