2 bridges set to be replaced in Newton County

More road improvement projects have been scheduled for North Central Arkansas. According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, the Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a pair of bridges in Newton County.

One bridge will be replaced over the Buffalo River on Arkansas Highway 7, and the other is located on County Road 213 over Mill Creek. The contract was awarded to Crouse Construction Company of Harrison at a cost of $13.5 million.
