Bull Shoals-White River State Park will host an intermediate fly fishing class Saturday morning at 10 at the James A. Gaston Visitor Center. It’s a free workshop for those with some experience and want to cast beyond 45 feet.
The class will be taught by Japan native Misako Ishimura. She has competed in the World Fly Fishing Championship and has fished in the United States, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the British Isles, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland. Misako currently resides near the park and serves as a Federation Fly Fishers certified casting instructor.
The class size is limited to five participants, and registration will end Friday evening at 5. For more information or to register, contact the Gaston Center at 870-445-3629.
