Credit: Randee St. NicholasThe recent postponement of The Rolling Stones‘ entire 2019 U.S. tour leg due to Mick Jagger‘s medical issue also left the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival without a main-stage headlining act for Thursday, May 2. That slot has now been filled by Fleetwood Mac.

This will mark the second time that Fleetwood Mac will play the annual music extravaganza, having previously appeared in 2013.

Stevie Nicks and company’s JazzFest performance takes place about two weeks after the final show of the band’s current North American tour: April 15 in Calgary, Canada.

After the New Orleans show, Fleetwood Mac will launch a series of European concerts running from a June 6 show in Berlin through a June 18 performance in London. That will be followed by a Down Under trek beginning August 9 in Perth, Australia. Check out the group’s full tour schedule at FleetwoodMac.com.

The 2019 New Orleans JazzFest takes place April 25-28 and May 2-5. Among the many artists on the bill are Santana, John Fogerty, Van Morrison, Diana Ross, The Doobie Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffett, Gladys Knight, The O’Jays, Chaka Khan, Tom Jones, Mavis Staples, Rita Coolidge, Aaron Neville, Boz Scaggs, Los Lobos, Buddy Guy, Little Feat and Robert Cray.
