With all the awards shows ranging from the CMAs to the ACMs to the Grammys, plus the BBMAs, the AMAs and the CMT Awards, it can be hard to keep them all straight.

But Maren Morris says this weekend’s Academy of Country Music Awards are unique.

“I love the ACMs because they’re really laid back,” she explains. “It’s less, like, stiff — not that the CMAs are stiff.”

“But [the CMA Awards are] a lot more like the Oscars, and then the ACMs are like the MTV [Video Music Awards],” she laughs.

Even though the “Girl” hitmaker is up for Female Artist of the Year, she’s going into Sunday’s show not taking things too seriously.

“I don’t really think I’m gonna win,” Maren admits, “because I don’t think this is my year right now. I think my cycle would be next time.”

“But it’s always so cool to be nominated,” she adds. “Just showing up, getting to perform, getting to walk the carpet, being a fan in the crowd, just watching performances will be a riot.”

Maren’s also set to perform the Girl track, “All My Favorite People,” with Brothers Osborne on the show. You can tune in to watch the 54th ACM Awards live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas starting at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
