ABC/Image Group LAMotown legend Smokey Robinson has lent his vocals to “Make It Better,” the latest single by R&B singer and rapper Anderson .Paak, who is fresh off winning a Grammy for Best Rap Performance in February.

Robinson is heard during the soulful ballad’s chorus. The track serves as a sneak peek of what fans can expect from .Paak’s forthcoming album Ventura.

In an accompanying video, .Paak is seen navigating the ups-and-downs of his relationship via a montage of scenes, from the moment he and his girlfriend first meet to their personal conflicts and, ultimately, to their reunion.

Ventura will arrive April 12.  As for Robinson, he has a few upcoming concerts on his schedule, including a show on Saturday, April 6, in Battle Creek, Michigan.
