In high school baseball Monday:
-Cotter defeated Omaha 9-5
-Izard COiunty defeated Norfork 13-1. Noah Everett hit for the cycle, drove in 3 runs and pitched a complete game 1 hitter. Dylan Tharp went 3 for 4 and Chase Orf added 2 hits.
-Flippin was a 16-1 winner over Marshall
-Viola lost to Tuckerman 12-2
-Salem blasted Melbourne 19-1
-Mammoth Spring won a double header at home against Maynard, winning by scores of 14-1 and 15-0 to improve to 8-8 and 5-2.
In softball action:
-Yellville-Summit lost to Marshall 12-2
-Viola downed Mountain View 6-1
-Salem was a 6-5 winner over Melbourne
-Mammoth Spring lost a pair of games to Maynard, falling 7-6 and 21-15. The Lady Bears are 3-8 and 0-4.
