Tonight, Brett Young kicks off Kelsea Ballerini‘s Miss Me More Tour with newcomer Brandon Ratcliff in Salisbury, Maryland.  And if you’re hoping to hear Brett and Kelsea do a little something together, he says the odds are good — but it’ll probably be off the cuff.

“I’d be surprised if we don’t do something together,” Brett tells ABC Radio, “some sort of collaboration every night, like we always do in this business for whatever reason.”

“Like, we’re gonna come up with something that we totally don’t have time to prepare for and do it anyway,” the California native predicts. “I’ve always thought that me and Kelsea’s sounds and styles compliment each other well. So I’m sure something will come up.”

This isn’t Brett and Kelsea’s first outing together: they both opened for Lady Antebellum on 2017’s You Look Good Tour.

“You know, if they ever take a break from this new Vegas thing that they’re doing, maybe we’ll have them come hang out,” Brett offers, referring to Lady A’s residency at The Palms.

“But those guys never stop,” he adds. “I can’t believe with all the babies, with all the baby antebellums running around how they have time to do anything.”

Brett will soon be busy with a baby of his own. Less than a week ago, he and wife Taylor announced they’re expecting a little one in early fall.

Meanwhile, things couldn’t be going better for Brett career-wise.  His hit “Here Tonight” — co-written by Lady A’s Charles Kelley — currently sits at number two, poised to be country’s next number one.
