Shred-a-thon shreds 10,000 pounds of paper, provides 17,000 meals to food banks

Saturday was a busy day at Arvest Bank’s east branch in Mountain Home. The annual Shred-A-Thon was forced to shut down an hour early due to the Shred-It truck being at full capacity.

According to Arvest Bank, over 10,000 pounds were shredded just before noon. In addition, 256 canned items and $2,375 were collected for local food banks. That’s enough to provide over 17,000 meals.
