Bomber soccer suffers first loss, Lady Bombers get win

The Mountain Home High School boy’s soccer team, the top ranked team in the state and number 23 in the nation according to maxpreps.com, suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday night at Jonesboro. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and the Hurricane won the penalty kicks 5-3.

Quentin Fourney scored the lone goal for Mountain Home and Jose Alonso had seven goal saves.
Scoring for the Bombers during the penalty kicks were Kory Weber, Chris Matusiak and Vini Arrelaro.
Mountain Home falls to 11-1 overall and 8-1 in the 5A East Conference.

The Lady Bombers picked up a 6-0 win at Jonesboro. Emma Jones led the way with two goals while Emma Martin, Peyton Fowler, Paige Priborsky and Chloe Nosari each scored one goal. It was the 7th shutout in conference play for the defense.

The Lady Bombers improve to 8-2 overall and 8-1 in league play.

The J.V. boy’s game ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Mountain Home soccer teams host Marion Thursday night.
