Mountain Home softball wins pair of games at Searcy

The Mountain Home High School softball team picked up a pair of wins at Searcy in 5A East Conference action Tuesday evening.

Mountain Home won the first game 7-5, scoring three runs in the 7th inning for the win. Marcie Cudworth and Bella Bevel each had two hits and Emily Payne had a triple and three walks. The offense was aided by eight walks issued by Searcy pitchers.
Lauren Loving got the win in the circle, striking out seven in seven innings of work.

In the second game, Mountain Home downed Searcy 5-1. Reagan Hasselwander was the winning pitcher, allowing just two hits and striking out four in seven innings of work.

The Lady Bombers improve to 15-6 overall and 7-3 in league play. They will travel to Harrison Thursday.
