The case against a Marion County man, 41-year-old Michael Vetor of Yellville, involving felony charges of residential burglary and theft has been dropped.

The charges stem from an incident in 2016 in which Vetor allegedly took a rifle from a Marion County residence.

The incident reportedly occurred while Vetor distracted the juvenile son of the resident of the home, allowing his female companion to enter the residence and take the weapon.

The following morning in a cell phone conversation, Vetor is alleged to have admitting taking the gun to pay a debt.

Online records indicate the case was closed late last month, with multiple notations dating back to November indicating Vetor is incarcerated in the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Vetor is serving a three-year sentence after entering a guilty plea to drug-related charges in Baxter County Circuit Court last September.
