Baseball and softball make up much of the local Tuesday schedule.

The Mountain Home High School baseball team returns to McClain Park as they take on Marion for a 5A-East doubleheader. The Bombers currently lead the conference with Marion in second place. A pair of wins Tuesday would wrap up the first baseball conference championship in 10 years. The first game at Pitts Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Melbourne is hosting the 2A-3 District Tournament this week. The Bearkatz will face Buffalo Island Central at 5.

Valley Springs will compete in the semifinals of the 3A-1 East District Tournament at Clinton. The Tigers will be paired with Rose Bud at 4.

Elsewhere, Norfork hosts Jasper, Bakersfield travels to Dora, and Lead Hill entertains Deer.

Mountain Home’s softball team is also set to welcome Marion to McClain Park for a varsity doubleheader. The first game gets underway at 4:30 on Freedom Field.
In addition to baseball, Melbourne is also the site for the 2A-3 District Softball Tournament. The Lady Bearkatz will go up against B.I.C. at 5.
Mountain View will continue action in the 3A-1 East District Tournament at Clinton. The Lady Yellowjackets will play Rose Bud at 4.
