The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved bids for two area road improvement projects. According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, one project is in Fulton and Sharp counties, and the other is in Izard County.
Ten miles of U.S. Highway 62/412 between Ash Flat and Hardy will be resurfaced. The contract was awarded to Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, Inc. of Paragould at a cost of $4,239,452.
The Izard County project will overlay 1.6 miles of East Tri-Lakes Drive in Horseshoe Bend. Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded the contract at 314,320.
