The Twin Lakes Area will be represented by 16 baseball and 15 softball teams during this week’s regional tournaments.
The Class 2A West Regional Baseball Tournament will begin Thursday at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison with Flippin designated as the host school. Yellville-Summit meets Danville at 12:30, the host Bobcats face Mountainburg at 3, and Cotter takes on Lavaca at 5:30.
The Class 1A Region 2 Tournament will be held at Viola. Mammoth Spring and Calico Rock get underway Thursday morning at 10, Izard County plays Hillcrest at 12:30, Viola will be paired with Ridgefield Christian at 3, and Norfork meets Armorel at 5:30.
Scranton will be the site for the Class 1A Region 1 Tournament. Ozark Mountain has the morning session against County Line Thursday at 10, Jasper faces Western Yell County at 12:30, Omaha takes on Mulberry at 3, and Lead Hill plays the host Rockets at 5:30.
Two area baseball teams will begin the Class 2A North Regional Tournament Thursday at McCrory. Salem will be matched up with East Poinsett County at 12:30, and Melbourne meets the host Jaguars at 3.
Valley Springs’ baseball team will be in West Fork Thursday to start the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament. The Tigers will face Lincoln at 12:30.
Harrison will compete in the Class 4A North Regional Tournament at Farmington. The Goblins take on Clarksville at 5:30.
Flippin will start hosting the Class 2A West Regional Softball Tournament Thursday at Harrison. Cotter plays Danville at 12:30, the Lady Bobcats will go up against Hector at 3, and Yellville-Summit meets Lavaca at 5:30.
