ABKCOThe star-studded 1968 concert special The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus will be reissued in expanded form and in multiple formats on June 7.

A limited deluxe edition of the release boasts a Blu-ray and a DVD that include a restored version of the film and various bonus performances and features, plus an expanded, two-CD soundtrack album. The package also features a 44-page book that includes photos and an archival essay.

A three-LP vinyl version of the expanded soundtrack also will be released, marking the first time that the album will be available on vinyl. In addition, the film will be available as a standalone Blu-ray, DVD and digital video.

Rock and Roll Circus features The Rolling Stones as ringmasters of a surreal circus that includes performances by them, as well as The Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and the one-off supergroup The Dirty Mac, featuring John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Jimi Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell.

Among the bonus video features are a previously unseen second take of The Dirty Mac performing The Beatles‘ “Yer Blues”; backstage footage of Mick Jagger, Lennon and Yoko Ono; and an interview with The Who’s Pete Townshend. There’s also commentary from Jagger, Richards, Bill Wyman, Ono, Jethro Tull‘s Ian Anderson, director Michael Lindsay Hogg and others.

The expanded soundtrack includes three bonus tracks by The Dirty Mac: that second take of “Yer Blues,” a rehearsal version of The Beatles’ “Revolution” and a jam.
