Credit: Danny ClinchSteely Dan is going to do it again at the Beacon Theatre in New York — that is, the band will return to the famed venue this October for a six-show residency, during which the band will perform some of its classic albums in their entirety.
The engagement will run from October 15 through October 22, and albums that the group will play are Aja on the 15th, The Royal Scam on the 16th, frontman Donald Fagen‘s 1982 solo record The Nightfly on the 19th, and Gaucho on the 21st. In addition, the band will play a “Popular Demand” concert featuring a set determined by fan voting on October 18, and a greatest-hits show on October 22.
Tickets for Steely Dan’s Beacon Theatre performances will go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. ET, while American Express card members can purchase pre-sale tickets now.
Steely Dan recently announced a similar series of five themed shows taking place at Boston’s Orpheum Theater and running from October 26 through November 1.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act has a variety of U.S. shows lined up this year, spanning from an August 27 concert in Youngstown, Ohio, through a November 9 gig in Philadelphia. First, though, the band will be playing a five-date Las Vegas residency at the Venetian Theater in May.
