BMGBoy George & Culture Club recently teamed up with Gladys Knight for a new version of “Runaway Train,” an original song from the band’s 2018 album Life, which has just been released as a digital single and via streaming services.
The track was re-recorded with Knight last September, helping Boy George to fulfill a lifelong ambition to work with the soul legend. The song features a classic soul sound that harkens back to the 1970s.
In addition, Gladys joined Culture Club to perform “Runaway Train” during the group’s October 2018 concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Prior to the digital release, the song was issued as a limited-edition 10-inch vinyl single last month in conjunction with the Record Store Day campaign.
