Judge Jason Duffy and the Baxter County District Court have scheduled an Amnesty Day for Tuesday morning.
Anyone with an outstanding non-violent misdemeanor warrant from Baxter County or the City of Mountain Home can appear in district court between 9 and 11:30 to have the warrant served and go before the judge that day. According to a court press release, Amnesty Day should ease the worrying about sitting in jail and missing work, bond money or worrying who is knocking on the door.
Anyone taking part in Amnesty Day can contact the Baxter County District Court Probation Department at 870-425-4601 to assure the paperwork will be ready on arrival. The probation department is open weekdays from 8 until 4:30.
