A Mountain Home woman is accused of having drugs in her hotel room with her child nearby. Twenty-six-year-old Ashley Kromoff was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center Thursday morning on multiple counts, and the child is in protective custody.

According to an affidavit, the Mountain Home Police Department received a call from an anonymous male stating Kromoff was in a Mountain Home hotel room with her small child and a large amount of drugs in the room. Two officers arrived and met with the manager who stated a male had rented the room but left, and a woman with a child paid for another night.

After failing to make contact with Kromoff, the manager and officers entered the room and found her lying on a bed with a small child in the other bed. The officers eventually got Kromoff to wake up, and she reportedly appeared disoriented.

The officers also allegedly located several baggies of a crystal substance, a baggy of an unknown powder substance, two plastic baggies of a green leafy substance and an end table between the beds with a set of digital scales and a glass mirror with residue. Kromoff was taken into custody, and the Department of Human services was contacted for the child. The child awoke upon DHS’s arrival and appeared to be sluggish.

Kromoff faces felony counts of possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and endangering the welfare of a minor and a count of proximity to certain facilities. Her bond is set at $7,500.
