Public land hunting permits for elk in Buffalo River Country are now available for online application.Applications will be available on the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission website until 11:59 on the evening of June 1. You can also sign up for permits at the 22nd Annual Buffalo River Elk Festival on June 29.
Twenty-nine total permits will be drawn at the festival, with 26 from online applications and three from those who apply on-site. All winners of the drawing will be contacted by phone and email, as soon as results are verified.
To apply online, go to ar-web.s3licensing.com. Applicants must have a valid Resident Sportsman Hunting License or hold a Lifetime Sportsman’s Permit, and hunters must be 6 or older at the beginning of the hunt to participate. Anyone with 12 or more violation points is ineligible for the permit.
