Area baseball teams have mixed results in district openers in Missouri

A few area high school baseball teams in Missouri were able to begin district play Saturday despite the rainfall.

Two schools took part in the Class 5, District 10 Tournament at Parkview High School in Springfield.
West Plains watched their season come to an end as they fell to Springfield Kickapoo 10-0. The Zizzers’ final record is 5-15.
Branson was also one and done in the tournament as they lost to Ozark 10-0. The Pirates finish the year with a mark of 6-18.

Hollister won its opener in the Class 4, District 11 Tournament in front of its home crowd. The host Tigers defeated Bolivar 4-1. Hollister improves to 16-9 on the season, and they’ll face top-seeded Aurora in Monday’s semifinals.

Bakersfield’s game in the Class 1, District 4 Tournament at Dora was postponed. The Lions will play Koshkonong Monday at 12:30.
