Courtesy of Experience Hendrix L.L.C.A second 2019 leg of the Experience Hendrix Tour, the star-studded trek celebrating the music of the late Jimi Hendrix, has been scheduled for the fall, following one that took place in March and April.

The upcoming outing will mainly visit venues in the Southwest and Western U.S., and is mapped out from an October 1 concert in Hendrix’s hometown of Seattle through an October 22 show in San Antonio.

Per tradition, the October tour’s lineup will be anchored by former Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys bassist Billy Cox. The lineup also will feature blues legend Buddy Guy, guitar whiz Joe Satriani, folk-blues veteran Taj Mahal, Dweezil Zappa, Jonny Lang, Eric Johnson and Steve Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton, all of whom have taken part in previous editions of the trek.

In addition, Big Head Todd & the Monsters frontman Todd Park Mohr will make his Experience Hendrix Tour debut at an October 16 concert in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Satriani will play with the same power trio he performed with at the early 2019 leg of the trek, along with King’s X singer/bassist Dug Pinnick and longtime John Fogerty drummer and renowned session musician Kenny Aronoff.

Commenting on the Seattle concert, Janie Hendrix, Jimi’s sister and CEO of the Experience Hendrix company, says, “[Jimi’s] music is like a beacon that always brings him back to Seattle, where it all began. Celebrating his legacy here brings it full circle. Even the musicians play stronger, as if they’re channeling the vibe of Jimi.”

Tickets for most of the dates will go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m. local time. Visit ExperienceHendrixTour.com to get details about specific shows.
