ABC suspends Royal 66 Club

The Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control administration has suspended the license of the Royal 66 Club, located at 4063 U.S. Highway 62/412 East in Mountain Home.According to the order, ABC received an allegation that on or about March 17 alcoholic beverages were served to an intoxicated individual in violation of agency regulations. In addition, an allegation was reported to ABC of drug paraphernalia having been found on the premises on or about May 2.Pursuant to ABC rules and regulations, the agency has found emergency action is required.

The notice reads “this business is not operating in the public interest and poses a danger to the public’s health, safety and welfare.”

ABC notes the Royal 66 Club has incurred repeated violations over the last 12 months and was on probation at the time of the latest violation.

For these reasons, the license held by Lynette Talford, doing business as the Royal 66 Club, is suspended immediately, pending a hearing in the allegations.

Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says the Royal 66 Club will be served with the suspension notice Thursday.
