Mountain Home School Board to deal with busy agenda Thursday night

The Mountain Home School Board will deal with a busy schedule during its regular May meeting Thursday night. Ten action items and three first-read items are on the agenda.

The board will hear proposals for a summer reading camp for kindergarten through fifth grade students, musical instrument cleaning and maintenance, the purchase of new musical equipment, the purchase of Chromebooks, repairs to the parking lot at Pinkston Middle School, a remodel of bathrooms at the high school and a change in the way substitute teachers are coordinated.

Among the first-reading items will be a proposal to realign the high school career academies and a second chance drop out recovery program for drop outs ages 18 to 21.

The meeting starts at 6 at the Mountain Home Public Schools Administration Building on Rodeo Drive.
