Davidson wins Funtastic Big Bass Tournament

Jason Davidson was crowned the overall winner of the Funtastic Big Bass Tournament Sunday on Bull Shoals Lake. Davidson won the 1:00 weigh-in at Oakland Marina with a 5.42-pound largemouth bass, and he also finished second in the 3:00 weigh-in. Davidson’s total winnings were $1,175.

Michael Rose took home the optional pot for the biggest smallmouth of the tournament after winning the final weigh-in with a 2.79-pound fish. Rose finished the day with a total of $430.

Seven other $100 prizes were awarded for each hourly weigh-in. Pete Dubois led off with a 2.67-pound bass at 8:00, Troy Lackey won at 9:00 with 3.04 pounds, Buck Comstock caught a 2.92-pound fish for 10:00, Greg Blair was the 11:00 winner at 2.9 pounds, Lanny Dooley ended up at the top of the noon leaderboard with 2.56 pounds, Terry Reevedon captured the 2:00 top prize with a 2,89-pound largemouth, and Jim Mead won at 3:00 with 2.59 pounds.
