A blown transformer briefly knocked out power late Sunday morning on the east side of Mountain Home. According to North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, power was restored nearly 650 customers in the Walmart commercial area and areas 3-4 miles eastward.

NAEC CEO Mel Coleman says the blown transformer took down a power line. Coleman says that took out a large substation causing the outage. Power was restored 20 minutes later.
