After a day off Monday, the St. Louis Cardinals return to action Tuesday night at home against Kansas City. The Redbirds are in in fourth place in the National League Central, four games behind the Cubs.
St. Louis, after winning 10 of 11 games in late April and early May, has now lost 13 of their last 17 games.
Michael Wacha (3-1) starts for St. Louis while the Royals go with Homer Bailey (4-4).
