A Mountain Home entity is among the state’s 75 largest private companies, according to a report in this week’s edition of Arkansas Business.

The report ranks Baxter Regional Medical Center as the 50th largest private company in the state.

BRMC reported revenue in 2018 of $197.2 million. Revenue was up 10.5 percent over the previous year, when it stood at $178.5 million.

The health care facility with a network of clinics and services employs 1,115.

While BRMC was the only company anchored in North Central Arkansas, four others making the list have a presence in Baxter County.

Arvest Bank Group of Bentonville occupies the number eight slot, while Harp’s Food Stores of Springdale is the state’s 16th largest private company.

First Security Bancorp of Searcy is listed as the 42nd largest private company, and Farm Bureau of Little Rock is number 51.

The price of entry to the list declined to $100 million this year. Last year’s 75th largest company checked in at $118.6 million.

The top largest private company in Arkansas remains Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield, despite a decline in revenue for the first time in 15 years.
