Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels recently donated $25,000 to The Shepherd’s Men through his non-profit The Journey Home Project. Every year, The Shepherd’s Men stage a week-long run from Groton, Connecticut to Atlanta, Georgia to raise awareness about suicide among returning servicemen and women. They also run the SHARE Military Initiative at The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, a 12-week rehab program to help with traumatic brain disorders and post-traumatic stress.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has named Nashville’s Music Row as one of the 11 Most Endangered Historic Places in America.
