ABC RadioNot only does Morgan Wallen have a jam-packed schedule at CMA Fest this week, but he’s also celebrating his second consecutive number one with “Whiskey Glasses.” That follows his success last year with “Up Down,” his collaboration with Florida Georgia Line.
“Never had I dreamed I’d be celebrating a #1 song, so the fact that this is two in a row is mind-blowing to me,” Morgan tells Billboard.
“I’m thankful for everyone who has believed in me since day one,” he adds, “the Lord, my team, my family, my fans and my friends at country radio. This song is a special one, and I’m just getting started.”
On Wednesday, Morgan will sing “Whiskey Glasses” on the CMT Music Awards, where he’s also nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year. On Thursday, he hosts his fan club party at 1:30 p.m., before doing a set at Ole Red Nashville at 1 a.m. in the morning.
He performs on the Riverfront stage downtown on Friday afternoon, before signing autographs at Fan Fair X inside Music City Center.
