A new restaurant was among the 10 business licenses issued in May, according to Jeannie Anderson from the City of Mountain Home.Records indicate Dennis Basco was issued a business license for Ozark Mountain BBQ, a fast food restaurant located at 40 Plaza Way adjacent to Walmart.Other licenses were issued to Tiffany Hamaker for Murphy USA #7744, located at 50 Walmart Drive for retail beer and wine; Kimberly DeHart for Pretty Bitches Dog Grooming, an all breed dog grooming business located at 1106 U.S. Highway 62, Suite 17; Academy Mortgage Construction, a residential mortgage lending company located at 860 U.S. Highway 62 East, Suite 10; Cindi Fink for Valley Estates of Mountain Home Phase II, an apartment leasing business located at 1060 Bradley Drive; and Alan Whitehead for AIM Crave and Heavy Equipment, a construction business located at 11495 State Highway 5 South.

Home-based businesses acquiring licenses include Candle Manufacturing and Sales, a candle making and sales business; Colossians 3:23 Electric, an electrician; Tried and True IT Services; and Cops Monitoring, an alarm system business.

Total licensing revenue for May was $10,895, including alcohol tax, occupational and pet licenses and garage sales.
