A spokesperson for the Atlanta, Texas, police department has confirmed a teen from Baxter County was one of two people killed in a three-vehicle collision Tuesday morning.The officer tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot news the crash claimed the lives of 19-year-old Jared Cole Marlowe of Mountain Home and Jillian Leach of Texas, who were traveling together.
According to preliminary information, police were dispatched to the accident scene along U.S. Highway 59 Tuesday morning at 6:38.
The crash involved two passenger vehicles and a semi-trailer truck.
The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash, with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety. No other details have been released.
