Storms bring rainfall totals higher for June

The Twin Lakes Area continues to add to its rainfall total for the month. At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting stations for Mountain Home for the National Weather Service, 2.66 inches of rain have fallen as of 7 a.m. Sunday. That gives for June a total of 7.8 inches. The average rainfall for the entire month is 3.99 inches, and so far, we have a surplus of 3.81 of an inch.

For the year today, 39.01 inches of rain have fallen. The average through the first six months of the year is 23.19, meaning we are 15.82 inches ahead of normal.

The wettest June on record was 15.04 inches of rain in 1928.
