Baseball makes up the local Friday schedule as a pair of teams begin tournament play.
The Mountain Home MacLeod American Legion squad will be in Conway for their opener in the Arkansas Junior State Tournament. MacLeod’s first opponent on the University of Central Arkansas campus will be Bryant. The first pitch at Bear Stadium is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Mountain Home’s 12-year-olds will head to Siloam Springs to start action in the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional Tournament. Mountain Home will meet Meridian, Mississippi, at 4 p.m. at the James Butts Baseball Complex.
