The Mountain Home 12-year-olds were victorius in their opening game in the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional Tournament at Siloam Springs. The Fury finished the day with a 3-1 victory over Meridian, Mississippi.
Ian Ellison was the winning pitcher as he pitched four innings, struck out four batters and gave up two hits, one walk and no runs. Ellison, Lincoln Sherry, Jett Hannaford and Braxton Carson led the Mountain Home offense as each provided a base hit.
The Fury will return to the James Butts Baseball Complex Sunday at noon to meet the winner of Saturday’s game between Bryant and Littlefield, Texas.
