Grants are now available for schools and nonprofit organizations in Baxter, Marion, Fulton and Izard counties through the Twin Lakes Community Foundation. The parent organization of the Twin Lakes Future Fund is accepting online applications for Giving Tree Grants through Aug. 15.
Grants normally range from $500 to $1,500. Requests for different types of grants will be accepted, but the Twin Lakes Future Fund is giving priority to proposals focusing on parent engagement in helping their children learn to read.
Any public school, government agency, hospital or 501(c)(3) public charity in the four-county area is eligible to apply. Grants are not available for individuals. Applications will be reviewed by a grant-making committee from the Twin Lakes Future Fund.
