An early morning road rage incident beginning near Gassville in which gunshots allegedly came from one vehicle toward another resulted in the arrest of three area residents. According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, 30-year-old Heath Freeman of Norfork, 27-year-old Dylan Sanders of Pineville and 39-year-old Miranda Worthey of Calico Rock were all arrested Tuesday on a felony count of aggravated assault and released after posting a bond of $5,000.

Baxter County 911 Dispatch advised authorities of the shooting occurring near an RV retailer east of Gassville on U.S. Highway 62/412. Deputies and Mountain Home Police officers initiated a traffic stop on the suspects’ vehicle at the intersection of the Sheid-Hopper Bypass and Rossi Road, and three suspects were taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the location of a Glock .40 caliber pistol, a Charter Arms .22 magnum pistol, a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver and a set of brass knuckles. Each suspect reportedly claimed ownership of the individual guns.

Investigators believe the incident started when the two victims and the suspects began passing each other as they traveled through the city of Gassville. The suspects and the victims gave conflicting reports as to what led to shots being fired. No damage was found in the victims’ vehicle, and no injuries were sustained.

Freeman, Sanders and Worthey are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court next week.
