One of the Peitz Cancer Support House’s biggest fundraisers will soon return to the Twin Lakes Area. The ninth-annual Pink for Peitz Benefit Rodeo is scheduled for Aug. 9 and 10 at the Mountain Home Saddle Club Arena at the Baxter County Fairgrounds.

The rodeo is co-presented by the Rand Rodeo Company and the Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team. Events will include barrel racing, bull riding, bronc riding and calf roping. The Chicks-n-Spurs will also perform.

In addition, the rodeo will include a cancer survivors ceremony on both nights. Survivors looking to participate can contact the Peitz Cancer Support House at 870-508-CARE (2273).

The community can support the Peitz Cancer Support House by participating in a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing and mechanical bull rides sponsored by James Boyett State Farm Insurance. Bar None Cowboy Church will provide carousel pony rides both evenings from 6 until 8. In addition, tug-of-war contests will begin Saturday at 6:15 with teams from Mountain Home Football, Mountain Home Basketball, Baxter County Juvenile Services, Mountain Home Pilots Football, Rand Rodeo and others.

A pair of items will also be raffled off. Tickets for a custom belt buckle designed for the rodeo will be $5 each. A Browning .12-gauge shotgun will also be raffled at $10 per ticket or six tickets for $50.

Advance tickets for the rodeo are available at the Peitz Cancer Support House for $5 each. Tickets will be available at the gate each night at $8 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 5 to 12, and no cost for children 5 and under. For more information, contact Melissa Hudson at 870-508-1457 or pcsh@baxterregional.org. To register or participate in the rodeo, go online to randrodeo.com
