Two Baxter County residents were arrested Thursday afternoon in the 5000 block of State Highway 5 North in Midway on drug charges.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Arkansas Community Corrections officers had been conducting surveillance at the address, the stated residence of a parole absconder, 37-year-old Jessie Moore, and a probationer, 34-year-old Kyle Krieg.

Contact was made with the subjects, and a search of the premises was conducted, with officers from the sheriff’s office participating.

During the search, officers found various articles of drugs and drug paraphernalia. These included approximately 4.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, approximately 12 Alprazolam bars, numerous used syringes, digital scales, smoking devices and other articles with residue of methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.

Both Moore and Krieg have been charged with felony counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with purpose of delivery; possession of a Schedule IV or V controlled substance with purpose of delivery; and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

In addition, Moore is facing a penalty enhancement as a habitual offender and failure to appear in court on an outstanding felony bench warrant on previous charges.

Moore has a bond of $20,000 on the new drug charges but is being held without bond on the failure to appear warrant.

Records indicate she has been booked into the Baxter County Detention Center 15 times since 2000.

Krieg has a bond of $15,000. Records indicate he has no previous bookings in Baxter County.

Both are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in August.
