Police documents say a woman charged in the fatal stabbing of a former Arkansas lawmaker last month was captured on video removing security cameras inside the victim’s home.

An arrest affidavit released Tuesday says former state Sen. Linda Collins died of multiple stab wounds. It says Collins’ son and father found her body June 4 wrapped in a blanket and hidden under a tarp outside her home in Pocahontas.

According to the affidavit, State Police agents determined Collins was last seen alive May 28.

Rebecca Lynn O’Donnell has been charged with capital murder in Collins’ death.

The affidavit says video from that day showed O’Donnell removing cameras from inside Collins’ home.

Collins was elected to the Arkansas State Senate for District 19 in 2014. The district includes eastern Fulton County and all of Izard, Sharp, Independence and Randolph counties. She lost her re-election bid in 2018 to James Sturch of Batesville.
