A Gainesville man is accused of sending nude photos to a minor. According to the Ozark County Times, 32-year-old Travis Johnson is facing a felony count of first-degree promotion of obscenity.

According to the probable cause statement, Ozark County deputies were made aware June 25 of a Facebook post concerning Johnson’s online interaction, including lewd photographs allegedly sent to a 17-year-old female. The teen told a deputy Johnson began messaging her June 4 asking her to send him “sexy photographs.” She says she told Johnson she didn’t have any such photographs, but he persisted and said it would “be their secret.”

Johnson later reportedly sent several pictures of himself fully-clothed, and the teen responded with similar photos. She alleges she later received a lewd photo of Johnson with the caption, “Do you love it, baby?” The girl said she was uncomfortable and replied, “That escalated quickly.”

The online conversation reportedly continued, with Johnson sending a second lewd picture with the caption, “Love it, baby.” He allegedly asked for photos of the girl again. She asked Johnson to hold three fingers up to his face to confirm it was him sending the photos, and he complied.

The deputy told the newspaper several girls indicated they have also received inappropriate photos from Johnson, but many have been reluctant to fill out the necessary statements for him to be charged with additional accounts. Even though the deputy’s probable cause statement doesn’t name other females, he does indicate Johnson allegedly sent photos to several women and underage girls.

Johnson was originally arrested on a $25,000 cash-only bond, but he was later released on his own recognizance with supervision by Court Probationary Services during a bond-reduction hearing. Associate Judge Raymond Gross ordered Johnson to have no internet activities and no use or access to social media. If Johnson gets a computer or a phone, he must report it to bond supervision.
